Coalition Costings To Be Presented In Picture-Book Format

Australian 2013 election satireOpposition Treasury Spokesman Joe Hockey will release the final details of the Coalition’s policy costings in a beautifully illustrated picture book, it has been revealed.

Drawn in the style of the popular children’s book Animalia, readers will be challenged to find a policy on each page, hidden amongst a pile of unrelated objects and other colourful diversions. They will then be able match the policies to a range of colour-coded costing levels: ‘a little bit’, ‘quite a bit’ or ‘a lot bit’.

“Numbers are boring. Pictures are fun,” Mr Hockey said.

Asked if there would be any detail about the overall budget position in the book, Mr Hockey said, “Well we don’t want to confuse people. We’ll draw another book after the election which will have all those bits in there. Trust me”.

The situation has now been remedied.

A brilliant idea, I wonder if he’s looking for a cartoonist to do the sequel after the election?

In comic book form.Must be so Mr. Abbott can understand Hockey’s economics.

Easy to clear up the arguments Mr.Hockey. Just release the PBH costings and we will make up our own minds.

Do not need or want, your three man panel version.

Uloola, I quite liked the mental image of Hockey being pot rayed!

To go a step further with the Graeme Base analogy, it would be even more fitting if the Coalition provided their costings in (and at) The Eleventh Hour.

Just details of policies would do me.

The costings will be expressed in Bitcoins as a further attempt to obfuscate the electorate for a few more days,by which time the forty eight hour media black out will be in place.

Hang on, we are only average Australian’s here. Books are a bit beyond us. Could they please explain it using sock puppets.

Excellent! There will be a happy ending too when Tony and Joe discover the economy is actually in better shape than they have been pretending for the past three years.
